70 year old fart found studio skavank just across the street & asked himself: "Why not?!" JAGGED SYMMETRY & TACTILE URGE In the process of exploring & developing texture & patterns, I experiment curiously. I use cutlery, vintage sewing notions like embroidered ribbons & buttons from my late mother's sewing cabinet, bracelets, seasonal pine cones, patterned wooden rollers, a yin/yang ring, coins from all over & lemons (etcetc) to press patterns into plates, bowls and boxes. I'm far too restless & impatient to write down glaze recipes. What emerges from the kiln is always a surprise. I'm not into throwing tea cups.
