Recknagel Ceramics

Linda Recknagel

Ceramics found me during the pandemic in 2020, when life needed to slow down. In clay, I discovered something I didn’t know I was missing. A sense of calm. Focus. A place where my hands could work while my mind could rest. Since then, creating has grown into something much bigger than a hobby. I design, throw, glaze, fire, photograph, style, pack orders, build my website and try to create a small and welcoming community on social media where things are allowed to be both beautiful and human at the same time. Nature have always inspired me. The colours and shapes of the forest, mountains and the See is usually found in my work. Everything is made in small batches, and every piece carries traces of the hands that shaped it. That’s exactly how I want it to be.I run everything on my own alongside my work as a pediatric nurse, where I work almost full time. In between, I try to balance family life with my husband, our two sons and our golden retriever — while creating something that feels calm, warm and genuine.
