I have always been a craftsy person but I found my way to painting just recently. Christmas 2023 I randomly decided to paint my parents a small painting of them as a surprise gift. I went to an arts and crafts store not knowing what to get. I got the big pack of acrylic paint and some paint brushes. When I got home I sat down on the floor - and painted for hours. I define my art as something somewhere between realism and abstract, with a lot of colors, and I love to spend hours on small details that make the piece feel both familiar and unique. My dad once said that there’s a lot to discover in my paintings - and I love that. I find my inspiration in my surroundings and everyday life. All of my pieces are either a bit of me, a bit of my family or a bit of my friends. Hopefully some of them are a bit of you as well.
